So[U]lGrowth Story

KK ( Kabir Kaadian) Uvaach: I was a  moderately successful person having been EHS (Environment,Health & Safety) head at major MNCs during latter part of my career 

Having worked as an EHS engineer- EHS consultant- EHS shippie ( to cater to my wanderlust)- EHS airport resource- Manufacturing Industry EHS Head- Facility management EHS Head during my career after post graduation in Environmental Engineering: was as they say headed in the right direction


But was increasingly realizing that

My Strengths: I could easily slice through &  reach the crux of the issues & am good with people

Have varied other interests- writing, travel, read, like to help people, (+) ive person, playing football- more to me than the job; always chose life in the work – life balance

The expectation of today’s business is that you work like an entrepreneur: What better way to do this than to be one?

I had survived in the rat race  because the seniors were good human beings & I come out as a normal fellow with a stable personality

Organisation Culture was causing heartburn & I am not one to grumble & bite behind the back

I seem to have read the wrong books viz. I have never been a go-getter & don’t intend to be one ; have been happy in my skin ( SANTUSHT) & have always put people first while the “REAL leaders” are driven personalities & for them customer is king- I never cared for the jobs I did & thus the jobs never cared for me.

I was never able to squeeze my juniors to do work & bad mouth them- maybe I was not involved enough

Leaders may be born but they need to be trained for the job at the next level – sadly lacking in corporates – you’re hereby annointed king- while he/she keeps on doing the same job with more accountability

Slowly increased confidence in my self- have been called lazy, meditator – kept on going- crossed bridges- have surprised myself & others on how far I have come

I had survived with old tricks in a rapidly changing world & needed to upgrade my skills continuously: the goal post kept moving- was being forced out of my comfort zone- thought to take a leap of faith

I guess the best job for me was to be on the board of directors

Usually what happens in employment- you are trying your best to appear intelligent & simultaneously trying to do a good job: this robs you of your creativity & real contributions.


So it got me thinking that I need to

 Utilise my  greatest strengths: PROBLEM SOLVER + PEOPLE ENABLER

Have been an uplifter of people – their moods, their hopes; People can confide their deepest worries to me; Can get along with everyone( the wife may differ on that one)

Completed a course in HR consulting to back up my experience in Environment Health & Safety


Now intend to

 Take life as it comes

Will not divide my personality into the WORK- LIFE ; I am ONE person – will keep it that way 

Make a positive change in People’s lives by living a life which they can see : he tried to live upto his ideals

Meeting people openly, being upfront about capabilities & doing a hell of a job                 MY : PEOPLE FIRST WAY

Inspire people to put their best foot forward in whatever they are doing

Neither hard nor smart work just the right work based on good analysis & prediction

Practise what I preach

PEOPLE / HUMAN RESOURCES IF UNDERSTOOD, ALIGNED & TRAINED WILL PROVIDE THE NECESSARY RESULTS: Intend to do the same in my company & for clients
